Faculty mentorship is the most important aspect of the McNair Program. Our success supporting undergraduates is dependent upon our faculty mentors. The faculty mentor provides an opportunity for participants to have a “hands on” experience with research during the summer and academic year, which is often the student’s first encounter with undergraduate research. We invite faculty to connect, support independent research and guide undergraduate research.
For faculty interested in mentoring a current McNair scholar either on a new project or existing research project, assist a scholar in cultivating a scholarly paper, present research, help interview potential scholars, or continue the advancement of McNair scholars on their journey to the doctorate, please contact Assistant Director, Jhanna Jean-Louis.
