The Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement program features an academic year and summer institute component. The McNair Summer Research Institute is an intensive full summer research experience that is fully funded. During the summer, students work closely with tenured and tenure-track faculty to define, develop, and conduct a research project.
A culmination of each student's work is presented at the annual McNair Summer Research Symposium via completed scholarly research paper, oral presentation, and poster presentation.
Through the McNair program's nearly 25-year collaboration with the Rutgers University Libraries, library faculty members have continued to help train and guide McNair scholars in their research and path to a doctoral education. This poster collection features the McNair program's student's first body of scholarly work, and showcases undergraduate research. It also provides a snapshot of the Libraries' commitment to increasing the number of first-generation and underrepresented students in the academy.
